The art and craft of blacksmithing is being actively practiced by long-time St. Croix resident Richard Waugh, a
graduate artist/metalsmith of numerous years' experience. His meticulous work can be found in fine homes,
businesses and even museums here in the Territory, and the States as well.

Contrary to popular belief, blacksmithing is
not a "lost" art. Hand forging of ironwork is, in fact, quite alive and
well right here in the United States Virgin Islands. I don't shoe horses, but I
do make beautiful ironwork.

If you have a desire to enhance the beauty, value and security of your home or business with hand-forged iron
work, from doors and grilles to lighting and fine furniture, or if you need custom-made hardware to complete a
historical renovation, I would be pleased to work with you to meet your ultimate design goals.

Take a tour of this website, where you will find a gallery of previously completed works, facts about forged iron
work, and contact information for the blacksmith himself. I feel certain that you will find much of interest here,
and would enjoy getting feedback from you. I welcome your questions regarding custom forged work.

Sincerely,

Richard Waugh, BFA
